Since my bike-fixing for fort-building days of early childhood, I've always been the neighborhood go-to to fix just about anything that can be broken in a house and beyond.

My motto has always been 'if you can break it, I can fix it!'

I've always been handy man, but have not always been a handyman. I spent my early 20s at Purdue University getting a BS, MS, and PhD in structural engineering, then spent over 15 years as a practicing structural engineer (licensed PE and SE in a number of different states). In those intervening years, I fixed up everything that would break in in my friends/neighbors' houses in South Minneapolis, and self-performed a host of projects on my own home.

I'm a self-professed tinker and hobby jumper -- from electronics design and assembly, to welding, to lathe/mill/machine shop work, to woodworking, to cabinet making , to kitesurfing, to arborist work, to plumbing and electrical work, to treehouse building, to small (and large!) engine repair, to automotive diagnostics and repair -- I can tackle just about any project I set my sights on.
